ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The Academy of Arts is thrilled to announce its first ever Christian World Arts Festival on March 2-4, 2023 at the iconic Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C.! This one-of-a-kind festival provides a unique opportunity for filmmakers, dramatists, and script writers to submit their projects.

Our goal with this festival is to inspire, encourage, and develop Christian artists to keep producing excellent, well-crafted stories for film or for stage. Media and the performing arts dominate our culture and dictate to a media-saturated world what family, authority, friendships, worship, clothing, lifestyles, etc. should look like. Sadly, most of the time, the arts depict these things without Christ, which produces a corrupt, sick, and hopeless view of humanity and the world.

Thankfully, some Christians have joined the culture war to reclaim the arts for Christ and they are seeking to be the salt and light that is needed to hold back this corruption. However, we all know that these Christians are vastly outnumbered as they seek to show forth the light of God’s exciting and life-changing truth.

We want to see Christians working together to produce films, scripts, and stage productions that seek to raise an excellent, professional standard of God’s power. This light of truth is desperately needed in our ever-darkening world!
